Massage is a technique derived from many cultures. It has been used in China as far back as 3000BC where it was known to promote and restore health as well as for relaxation. The ancient Greeks used massage as part of their everyday exercise and fitness. Hippocrates believed all doctors should use massage for healing purposes.

Techniques continue to develop and today there are many variations of massage therapy not only used by holistic massage therapists but also physiotherapists, osteopaths, sports therapists and many other professions.

I practice from 3 locations in West Sussex. Broadwater Osteopathic Practice, Sompting Road, Worthing, Steyning Health Centre, and my treatment room in North Lancing.

I have trained and qualified in and provide both Holistic and Sports Massage treatments

Common conditions treated by sports and remedial massage might be:

frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, golfers elbow, groin strain, scar tissue & bruising, carpal tunnel syndrome, neck shoulder and back pain, headaches & migraine, sciatica, runnerís knee, piriformis syndrome, shin splints, general muscle soreness, pre & post event massage

Common reasons for having a relaxing holistic massage might be:

stress, anxiety, tiredness, inability to relax, health improvement, comfort, increase suppleness or simply because you will love it
